One of our newest team members, Mel, was recently assisting a young man Christmas shopping for his girlfriend, Maria. We are so thankful to have such an intelligent and cultured staff because this young man just moved from Italy and did not speak any English. We remembered that on Mel’s resume, she listed that she was fluent in Italian, so we were thrilled that someone could communicate with him to find the perfect gifts.
He was happily relieved that Mel was able to guide him to the meaning wall and, together, they built a beautiful set consisting of Tree of Life, Sweet Melody and Because I Love You. He was so confident Maria would adore his choices and gave Mel a kiss on each cheek before he left our store. She was over the moon for the opportunity to brush up on her Italian, even more so, that she made a difference in someone’s day.
